Stacks and mixtures

Metabolic combinations

Editorial audit: October 15, 2026 · draft; scientific, medical and translation review pending

01What is reported

Guides propose adding GH-axis products, MOTS-c, AOD-9604 or SS-31 to incretin-based treatment for fat loss, muscle preservation or energy.

02Proposed rationale

Complementary receptor or metabolic pathways are offered as a rationale. A multi-receptor drug is not the same intervention as several independently sourced compounds.

03What the research shows

Controlled trials support specific incretin or investigational multi-agonist interventions. Retatrutide has phase 3 evidence, which does not validate these informal stacks.

04Limits and unknowns

Do not rank combinations by isolated weight-loss percentages from different trials. Lean mass, muscle strength, fatigue and weight are different outcomes.

05Questions to ask about the product

Identify every ingredient, approved versus investigational product context, concurrent medicines and formulation uncertainty.

06Open research question

Can routine-care observation capture function, nutrition, activity, symptoms and discontinuation without directing participants to add compounds?
