Metabolism and body composition
AOD-9604
Editorial audit: October 15, 2026 · draft; scientific, medical and translation review pending
01What is reported
AOD-9604 is promoted for fat loss and paired with GH-axis or metabolic products. One volume incorrectly equates an hCG-labeled fragment with AOD.
02Proposed rationale
The proposed rationale derives from a modified growth-hormone fragment. hCG and hGH are different hormones; a similar fragment label cannot settle molecular identity.
03What the research shows
The FDA review describes Tyr-hGH(177–191) and unsuccessful obesity evidence, including a large randomized study. The clinical findings should remain visible beside the mechanism.
NOT A RECOMMENDATION.Each amount is attributed to the source identified for that entry: regulatory product labeling, human research, or community and practice sources. These source categories have different evidentiary roles. They are not medical advice, not a protocol, not a recommended or safe dose, and not evidence that it works. Do not use them to start, change or stop any treatment. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional.
04Limits and unknowns
Food-use GRAS context does not constitute injectable drug approval. Oral-study results cannot establish the effectiveness or safety of a different injected regimen.

05Questions to ask about the product
Confirm exact sequence/modifications and product formulation rather than accepting AOD and “fragment” as interchangeable.
06Open research question
Which marketed identities and claims depart from the studied molecule, and can those mismatches be quantified in an evidence map?
