The published example
Granhall and colleagues described two randomized, blinded oral-semaglutide-with-SNAC trials in 2019: one single-administration and one repeated-administration study. They investigated safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics in healthy men and, in one part, men with type 2 diabetes. The preparation and population belong with the finding.
The appropriate reading
Record exposure and sampling time first. Then record observed adverse effects and study size. Do not turn tolerability in an early sample into absence of rare risks or benefits for unstudied populations. A development question provides useful information even before a prolonged clinical-outcome trial.
