Four different questions about a peptide product

Clarity starts by identifying the kind of claim being checked.

Do not let one answer replace three records.

Clarity starts by identifying the kind of claim being checked.

Key points / Puntos clave

  • Scientific evidence does not replace authorization.
  • A quality document addresses only what it tests.
  • Health regulation and sport rules need separate checks.

The scientific question

An article may report a molecular interaction or a clinical result. Its conclusion retains the intervention, model or population and outcome. Start an evidence record and copy that question. Then open separate records for authorization, quality and sport. This editorial organization prevents the existence of a publication from answering matters it did not study.

The authorization question

Drugs@FDA provides information about approved products in the United States. In Mexico, COFEPRIS provides a medicine-register search. The relevant record identifies the product and its scope in that jurisdiction. Finding a familiar ingredient or a reference from another country does not automatically settle the status of a particular presentation.

The quality question

Read an analytical document for what it actually reports. Our sheet identifies the sample, batch, method and property assessed. A result about one characteristic does not complete every other one. Ask what was checked and what remains undocumented, without turning one certificate into a total guarantee or evidence of clinical benefit.

Compounding has its own framework

FDA explains that compounded drugs are not FDA approved and do not receive its premarket assessment of safety, effectiveness and quality. This description belongs to the US framework. It neither declares every compounded preparation illegal nor transfers a legal conclusion to another country without checking its rules.

The sport question

WADA’s 2026 List took effect on 1 January 2026. The tool presents dated examples; sport status requires its own check.

Leave a checkable conclusion

For each claim, save source, access date, country or organization and the exact product or substance description. If the search is insufficient, write “not confirmed” and explain what is missing. The sheet is not a legal opinion; it organizes the route so a competent authority or professional can verify it without conflating the four questions.

Practice with a hypothetical advertisement presenting a paper as a sales authorization. Copy the claim and identify which record would answer it. The paper belongs under evidence; authorization needs its own document. Making this transfer visible helps detect the error without assuming the outcome of an actual search.

Professional context / Contexto profesional

Verify jurisdiction, presentation, purpose and date; do not treat a single missing match as definitive proof.

Evidence / Evidencia

Document-reading guidance based on official sources consulted on 16 October 2026.

Limitations / Limitaciones

Not a legal opinion, product authorization or therapeutic-use exemption in sport.
