Epitalon

Editorial audit: October 15, 2026 · draft; scientific, medical and translation review pending

01What is reported

Epitalon appears in longevity and sleep-related cycles. Some accounts interpret telomerase or telomere findings as cellular rejuvenation.

02Proposed rationale

Telomere biology motivates the hypothesis, but modifying a laboratory endpoint does not establish longer or healthier human life.

03What the research shows

Cellular studies, including work involving normal and cancer-cell contexts, require model-specific interpretation. Cells of human origin do not make a study a clinical trial.

04Limits and unknowns

No human lifespan benefit follows from these experiments. One source also misnames a residue; sequence identity must be checked before evidence is transferred.

05Questions to ask about the product

Is the stated sequence AEDG and are modifications specified? A transcription error can change molecular identity.

06Open research question

Can an evidence map keep cellular endpoints, biomarker associations and patient outcomes in separate fields?
